Where can I watch Vi Movies & TV?

Vi Movies & TV app is currently available on Android (5.1 versions and above), iOS (10.0 and above) and on Android/Google TVs (Android 9 and above versions, Samsung Smart TVs (2018 model and above), LG Smart TVs(2019 model and above) and Amazon Firestick.

How many devices can I log in at a time?

Vi users can log in on 4 devices at any given time. However, the playback will depend on individual Content Partner rights.

On how many devices / screens can I watch the same content at a time?

Watching the same content on multiple devices on vi Vi Movies & TV app depends on the rules set by content partners. If you see concurrency / playback error, please stop playing on any of the devices. Except for Sony Liv, you should be able to play content from the same OTT partner on any 2 devices at the same time.

Why do I get redirected outside the app when clicking some particular content?

Content from few partners like Disney+ Hotstar, ZEE5 can be played only on their platform, hence you are redirected outside the app to land on their platform to be able to play content. Redirection happens once you have taken a valid subscription plan for the Content.

Do I need to download 3rd partner OTT apps separately for content available on Vi Movies & TV

For watching Disney+ Hotstar & ZEE5 content, you will need to download their partner app separately from ViMTV app. For content from the remaining 14+ OTT apps, there is no need to download individual partner apps. You can watch all content on Vi Movies & TV app itself, if you have a valid subscription on your Vi number.

Can I login on third party apps directly?

When you click on third party content on our app, you will be able to play most of the content directly without going to any third party apps. You don’t have to enter credentials anywhere thus making your journey seamless! However, for some select content partners like Disney+ Hotstar, you can also log in directly to their apps- after purchasing the ViMTV subscription. You can log in to such third party apps by using your Vi number(on which you have taken ViMTV subscription) and OTP sent by them on your device. Do I need subscription to watch content on Vi Movies & TV?

Hundreds of Live TV channels & select movies are available for FREE for Vi users. However, to watch Premium Movies, Shows or Sports upto 17 leading OTTs like Disney+ Hotstar, ZEE5, Sony Liv, Fancode, Manorama Max, Klikk, Chaupal and many more, users need to buy ViMTV subscription pack.

Where can I check my current subscription plan or know expiry date?

For Vi Movies & TV mobile (Android/iOS) Apps:
1. Go to the Vi Movies & TV App home page and click on the menu in the top left corner.
2. Click Plans & Offers to view your subscription details
For Desktop:
1. Visit Vi Movies & TV
2. Click on the profile icon in the top right corner.
3. Select 'Login' and enter the mobile number along with the OTP you'll receive.

Some content is playing while some are not playing for me. It keeps asking me to subscribe.

We provide free content access as well as paid content. If on clicking a content, you get a message to purchase a plan then that indicates that it is not free content, and you must pay to purchase that plan and then you can watch it as per the pack validity.

I am a Vi postpaid user. Why does the app ask me to add to bill?

Access to Premium content upto 17 leading OTTs like Disney+ Hotstar, ZEE5, Sony Liv, Fancode, Manorama Max, Klikk, Chaupal etc. is paid – you can avail all of these content by purchasing the ViMTV subscription plan.

Is this service for prepaid or postpaid subscribers?

We do not differentiate between our valued customers. This service can be enjoyed by both prepaid and postpaid subscribers of Vi.

How do I activate Vi Movies & TV?

It’s very simple. Just download and install Vi Movies & TV App from Google play store or Apple Appstore. Open the app & register with your Vi number to activate Vi Movies & TV free access. Then, just upgrade to ViMTV subscription pack at a nominal amount per month and start your binge-watching journey.

How can I cancel the Vi Movies & TV subscription?

We would love for you to enjoy our service, but should you cancel the service there is no charge levied. You can call Vi customer care to cancel. You can continue enjoying the content that you paid for until the validity of the paid pack. If you are a Vi postpaid user and want to cancel the auto-renewal of your ViMTV subscription pack, you can also do it using the Vi app. Just head to the plans & benefits section, and deactivate this service in the Paid add-ons section.

Yes, it is available on Mobile devices on Android & iOS. For Smart TV, it’s currently available on Android TV, Google TV, Samsung Smart TVs and Amazon Firestick. We are working to make this service available on LG Smart TVs very soon.

Are all mobile handsets compatible with Vi Movies & TV?

Mobile phones running the following operating systems are supported.

What if my handset is not compatible with Vi Movies & TV?

If your handset is not compatible you will not be able to download the app.

I received the URL for Vi Movies & TV application via SMS. How do I download the application?

Just click on the link and it will redirect you to Play store or App store depending on your handset. You can download it from there.

I am trying to download the application, but the link does not work, why?

In low network areas you may not be able to download the application. Try downloading the application from a different location or switch to Wi-Fi and try again. You could also browse Vi Movies & TV on browser and enjoy watching content there.

How can I know Network strength?

Typically, you would see H+ for strong 3g or 4g symbol on the top right of your handset.

Despite downloading and installing the App, I am unable to open the App. What do I do?

This may indicate that network condition at that time is not strong. You may try resetting your mobile data or Wi-Fi and try after some time.

What should I do if I see an error of “Not enough space” while downloading the app?

You will have to clear off some space in the phone memory and then reinstall the application. Vi Movies & TV may need up to 50 MB free space.

Can I access this content on my laptop?

Vi Movies & TV is available on following TV brands like Sony, Xiaomi, Oneplus, TCL, Realme, Vu, Toshiba and all other leading brands that have the option of Android or Google TV.
We are also available on Samsung Smart TVs and Amazon Fire TV sticks.
We are also in the process of getting Vi Movies & TV available on LG Smart TV very soon.

Are all TV sets compatible with Vi Movies & TV?

Android TV/ Google TV sets running the OS version 9 and above are supported eg. TV brands like Sony, Xiaomi, Oneplus, TCL, Realme, Vu, Toshiba and more.
Samsung Smart TVs from model year 2018 and onwards are also supported. Amazon Firestick models (OS 5 and above) work with Vi Movies & TV.
Currently the service is not available on LG Smart TVs but we will be available very soon.

Can the same subscription be used across Mobile & Smart TV in Vi Movies & TV?

You need to purchase the Mobile+TV subscription to watch across all devices.
The ViMTV Lite subscription only allows you to watch on mobile devices.
